| Grimmie getting love |
Our male cat, 'Grimmie' has had a couple of months of bad luck. It started with an abscess on his backside. We took a trip to the vet to get the area shaved and a shot of antibiotics. Then days of of hot soaks and not having the ability to sit. He got over that indignity fairly quickly although he will look like a baboon from the back for awhile.
Poor guy took a turn for the worse last week. He stopped eating, was listless and nearly unresponsive. Another trip back to the vet for blood tests and fluids. He didn't eat for five days. The blood tests indicate several things, none great. We picked up a bag of fluids and injectable medication at the vet and after one treatment he bounced back.
We don't know how long we have on this Earth . . . it could be another day, it could be another 50 years. All I know is I've learned to appreciate every day much more watching how my cats appreciate theirs . . .
A huge "thank you" to Dr. Charlotte, and Dr. Nicole, and to the entire staff at Animal Hospital of Sebastopol for taking such good care of all of my cats for so many years . . . .
